EVLer, Petra Gemeinboeck presents her virtual reality Master of Fine Arts thesis work, Maya - Veil of Illusion in conjunction with the Musueum of Contemporary Art, Chicago’s Version>03 Festival. The installation will be on exhibit at both the EVL CAVE and MCA beginning Thursday, March 27th through Saturday, March 29th.

“In Hindu-Buddhist concept, Maya stands for the constant movement of the universe, so powerfully masking the essence of all matter that the phenomenal world of reality can only be perceived behind a ‘veil of illusion’.”

During the opening reception at the EVL CAVE, participants in Chicago and Germany will interact with eachother creating and interplay of communication - separated only by the virtual ‘veil’. Maya
